My first solo art exhibition – Begin preparing promotional materials.

If you’re just joining us- allow me to catch you up. My name is Amanda Jeanne, and I’m an intuitive abstract artist working on my very first solo art exhibition. To aid me in the preparation process, I asked chatGPT to give me a weekly breakdown of tasks to complete in order to be ready for my show opening on June 26. Follow along to see how it goes!

Week 4-5: Continue creating new artworks. Review your progress and adjust your timeline accordingly. You may also want to start taking photographs or creating digital copies of your artworks to prepare for the promotional materials and online exhibition.

Work on my paintings for my upcoming exhibition continues. I’m getting to the point where nearly all the pieces have been started, but none of them are definitively completed. I have a feeling this is going to be tough to pull together.

So let’s take a break from that, and start working on promo.

I created a flyer on canva, got it printed up on postcards. They’ll be ready in a couple days, and I can pick them up at the place near my kids’ school, so it’s perfect. I’m going to go around town and distribute them, old school style. Hang some up at the art store, leave a couple at the grocery store, the post office, etc. I’m also going to be meeting with a friend next week to try and figure out how to pull together a vernissage, possibly even including a live painting session with yours truly?

What’s a vernissage? It’s basically a preview night for an exhibition. And I think it would be fun to do one. So let’s see if I can pull it off!
